In This December by Prince Edward's Band

Written by Ronald Allen Bell~

Produced by G-Dawg Trading~

Taken from and modified from a poem entitled, In This December from the book, Broken Reflection by the same author.

Lyrics:

[verse 1]
In this December I will sit in thought.
I'll ponder love and wander off,
into a world inside my brain,
where hearts may break but hide the pain.

[verse 2]
You smile and beat your knuckles on my door made out of fear.
You mustn't enter in, here smiles they always turn to tears.

[chorus 1]
I pluck a string on my guitar and let it ring out.
Your ears fail receive it you ignore my desperate sounds.
This is how we like it, in the dark amidst the pain.
where you can feel the sorrow as it drowns you in its rain.

[solo]

[verse 3]
I know you cannot see me here.
Do you wonder where I am.
I get no pleasure from unopened letters,
I hope you understand.

[verse 4]
You say that I am different.
You say that I have changed.
Your tongue speaks with resentment,
for your pains I am to blame.

[verse 5]
Cast your ills not at me for I love you on this stage.
But in the land of crooked smiles I bathe within the flames.
I hate to see my beauty lost and wandering neath grey skies
Though to me it offers comfort, it will tear you up inside.

[chorus 2]
I pluck a string on my guitar and let it ring for way too long.
Then I apply a melody as your eyes tear to my sad song.
Trapped you feel as all my guest, with smiles so calm you're laid to rest.
For in this hold so dark and cold in the dismal do we nest.
Feeding on the anguish born of darkness they're obsessed.

[verse 6]
In this cold and dark December I will hurt you with goodbyes.
No more false perceptions to mislead you, no more lies.
My strings they are now broken, sleep forever, love, goodnight.

[solo]
