Written and produced by Ronald Bell and G-Dawg Trading~
-Wanted to show you complete instructions for the first time.
[Intro]
(Soft pulsing arpeggios and swelling pads in Am, distant clockwork ticking and faint vocal echoes – 20 seconds)[Verse 1]
Am Dm
Through the quicksilver veil I see
F Em
The specter of your memory
Am Dm
In fractured halls where echoes play
F Em
The remnants of our yesterday [Verse 2]
Am Dm
Esoteric symbols on your breath
F Em
Whisper secrets sweet as death
Am Dm
Like opium haze in candle’s glow
F Em
We drift where only lost souls go [Pre-Chorus]
Dm F
The clockwork heart begins to rust
Am Em
In temples built from broken trust [Chorus]
F Am
Drown me slowly in your sorrow
Dm Em
Steal away my last tomorrow
F Am
In the velvet dark we shiver
Dm Em
Love’s the blade that makes us quiver
F Am
Oh, the beauty in the breaking
Dm Em F
Into nothing… nothing at all [Verse 3]
Am Dm
Neon saints in silent prayer
F Em
Watch our souls dissolve in air
Am Dm
Your eyes two abyssal portals wide
F Em
Where all my former selves have died [Pre-Chorus]
Dm F
The pendulum of longing swings
Am Em
On rusted chains of what love brings [Chorus]
F Am
Drown me slowly in your sorrow
Dm Em
Steal away my last tomorrow
F Am
In the velvet dark we shiver
Dm Em
Love’s the blade that makes us quiver
F Am
Oh, the beauty in the breaking
Dm Em F
Into nothing… nothing at all [Synth & Keyboard Solo – 55 seconds]
(The heart of the track. Starts sparse and yearning: a warm analog lead synth (Prophet-style saw wave, heavy portamento and long reverb tails) traces aching, expressive melodies drawn from the A harmonic minor scale over cycling Am–Dm–F–Em arpeggios and a pulsing bass line. At ~15 seconds, a second keyboard layer enters – crystalline DX7 electric-piano bells and string pads – weaving haunting counter-melodies full of trills and falling-star slides. By 30 seconds the filter opens wide; rapid scalar runs and harmonized leads build unbearable tension, evoking alchemical fire and collapsing stars. Climax at ~40 seconds with sweeping filter modulation and dissonant clusters that resolve into pure melancholy, then everything dissolves through cascading delay trails back into ethereal pads – exactly 55 seconds of pure late-80s emotional catharsis.)[Bridge]
Em F
And as the final embers die
Am Dm
No angels come to question why
Em F
Two phantoms in the pale moonlight
Am Em
Entwined until the end of night [Final Chorus – full band, layered harmonies, rising octaves]
F Am
Drown me slowly in your sorrow
Dm Em
No more begging for tomorrow
F Am
In this velvet dark forever
Dm Em
Our broken hearts remain together
F Am
Oh, the beauty in the breaking
Dm Em
Into nothing… nothing at all… [Outro]
(Am – Dm – F – Em repeating, slowly fading)
Quicksilver veil…
(multi-tracked ghostly echoes)
Nothing at all…
(dissolves into white-noise synth wind and distant clockwork ticking)
(not sure it got he solo right lol, but song turned out okay)
-Moods and styles input:
Late 80s New Wave / Mod Electronica – Key of A Minor, Tempo: ~115 BPM. Driving sequenced bass, gated reverb drums, lush analog pads, arpeggiated synths. Vocals: drenched in plate reverb and delay, emotive and brooding like a lost soul on the dancefloor, This is pure late-80s mod-electronica melancholy – every metaphor drips off the tongue like liquid mercury, every line built for reverb-soaked stages and smoke-filled clubs. The chords stay locked inside Am, Dm, Em, and F the entire time, exactly as requested. Play it loud. Feel it break you.
