Full lyrics:
Sarah kneels before his grave and tears fall from her eyes
Her lover sleeps six feet below, they wed before he died
No one came with offerings, nor did they tongue farewell
just ranch hands in a rich man's land, alone she's left to dwell
Sarah tires from grief as she lays upon his plot
She falls asleep and dreams as the rain begins to drop
through the fresh laid soil, the rain with ease begins to seep
poor little Sarah, to her husband she will sink
the sun it wakes her paralyzed
she's buried all but nose and eyes
the burning heat now dries the mud
no lips to plead, no one will come
two days pass and still she lives
upon the grounds it pours again
the rain is strong and runs throughout
And carries seeds from soils to mouth
amidst the flooding she is drowned
soon seeds take root, from mouth they sprout
the passing days see sprout to tree
At five years passed yields blues and greens
the branches hold long drooping leaves of blue as were her eyes
in summer lush from pain they rush and spill as sun reminds
in winter rain when tired from pain she rests, her blues she hides
with lover beneath for twenty-four weeks in peace they shall reside
in Spring still half asleep her memory slowly comes to life
in summer sun she's overcome and the Weeping Willow cries
